2018 U.A.E. Dubai & Abu Dhabi

Off again for Easter Holidays myself, my boyfriend and a bunch of friends headed off to the U.A.E.! Needless to say, I had to work out everyday for those hot days on a beach in a bikini! Anyway, below is just a synopsis of our trip from accommodation to activities and good photo opportunities!

Accommodation:
We stayed in Pullman Jumeriah Hotel which was amazing! It’s bang in the Marina area and you can walk 10mins to the beach. A rooftop pool and gym. We didn’t pay for breakfast as it was slightly expensive and there are so many choices around our hotel (one straight across called ‘Public Cafe’ it’s so nice and cheap!) We booked our hotel through booking.com- I would definitely stay here again.

You’ll obviously want to do a desert safari! We went with Orient Tours as the price was very reasonable for what we did. It included sand dune driving, camel farm, camel ride, falcon show, fire show, belly dancing, shisha, (henna for the girls), and a buffet dinner with soda drinks and desert, and food when you arrive to the desert camp. What’s even better is that they pick you up directly from your hotel and drop you back. So that’s a nice plus. It cost 74€ each. Now there’s lots of other options but I would recommend ours.

Burj Khalifa is next on your list. Prebook your tickets and pick the earliest time you can get, less tourists and you can take your time with pictures. We booked ticket Level 124 + 125 as to go higher was way more expensive and you get a savage view anyway from this level so we were happy! It cost us 32€.

A brunch is a must too! My friend Sarah lives in Abu Dhabi so she was a great help but we went to 0 Gravity that has the see through pool that you can get great photos! We had a pool party in the morning and a brunch that evening. The best days for brunches are Friday and Saturday but since our time was short we did one on Tuesday night that was a Ladies Night so we got in for free (unfortunately that won’t suit the boys!) Best thing to do is either look on their website or their facebook page to see when their pool parties and brunches are.

In Dubai you have to visit these places:

·Dubai Mall (right beside Burj Khalifa) there’s a light show and a fountain show at night!
·Palm Islands (you can get a boat/tour around them)
·Burj Al Arab (fancy hotel and most expensive in the world nice for photos)
·The Souks (old markets and you can get a boat ride for like 2€ between the two markets)
·JRB for all the best restaurants and bars (McGettigans, STK, Lock Stock & Barrel my favourite)
·Dubai Miracle Garden (Has unreal sculptures made out of plants)

I would recommend you stay one night in Abu Dhabi OR get a taxi in the morning there and a taxi back at night which my friends did. We stayed in Novel Hotel in Abu Dhabi which was very cheap but more like a motel feel but we didn’t care as we only stayed one night.

In Abu Dhabi this is what we did:
  • Morning: Ferrari World (if you like roller coasters this is for you- fastest one in the world is here)
  • Afternoon: Yas Waterworld (your ticket includes the waterpark and ferrari world and honestly we had such a good time in the waterpark- there’s SO MANY SLIDES! And all for adults so don’t be worried if you see lots of kids as there’s a section for them and a section for adults. 100% recommend it!!!) when booking tickets just use one site and there’s an option to select 1 day 2 parks which cost us 59€
  • Evening: Grand Mosque (It’s complete free to enter. Don’t worry about dress attire as they give you clothes to wear in it, trousers for the boys, abyass dress for the girls. I would recommend to go at sunset it’s so pretty! )
